Timing belt
thats what i ended up getting, now the only problem in encountering is the balance shaft. how do you know if you got it locked and can a alan wrench be used to hold that balance shaft?
With the engine in the car there's isn't a lot of room to fit a screwdriver in there that is the correct radius size. A 15/64 drill bit works best. Just mark it 3 inches from the end stick it in and it should bottom out around 3 inches. Gates makes honda belts so go Gates.
As a tip that I don't always see mentioned, it can be quite beneficial to put dots of paint on the belt teeth as well as all the different gears (markers basically). Then you can copy the marks onto your new belt. Gives a really good sanity check to make sure things go back exactly how they are supposed to. With the flex of the cam gear and all the tensioner stuff it's easy to skip a tooth on something if you're not extra careful (especially when the engine is in the car and you don't have the best lines of sight to things). Good luck!
