Default B16a2 Head..Can I fix this?

Just received my 92' PR3-1 head in the mail for a B20V build, Started to look at it and found this. I did not plan on taking it to a machine shop, just clean it up, lap valves and new seals/LMAs and what not. If I have to then that is whats needed. All advice is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the semi large/shitty phone pictures.

Ah man that sucks! The is possibly the worst spot to have some damage. That will create air turbulence and also create a hot spot.
You MIGHT be ale to find a machine shop to fill it and redo your combustion chamber and bowls, but probably a bigger headache than its worth. I hope you didnt pay big bucks for that thing.
You can tell by the weird carbon marks on the valve it's not allowing proper airflow/combustion.

Thanks, yeah I see what you are talking about with the carbon. I didn't spend too much on it thankfully. Hopefully 4Piston or any other reputable cylinder head shop can chime in and see if they can fix it for me. I'm in no rush as this is the beginning of the build so turn around time is not of importance.

honestly, I'd just hit it with a flapwheel and smooth it out. it looks like it's just creating a hotspot, which will go away once smoothed out.

Yeah, I would DIY that. Use a couple different bits on a small dremel. Shouldnt take long at all, and shouldnt hurt performance. Just dont touch the edge of the valve with any grinding stones. And you might as well clean and polish up all the chambers while you're at it.
