Hey guys,

I have a 2003 RSX Type-S that already had a Greddy Turbo Kit T517Z installed. The exhaust manifold now has a crack in it. I was told it would be easier to just weld it. I have never installed a turbo before so I'm too scared to mess with it because I'm pretty sure need to remove the turbo to get to the manifold. I need to SMOG this month. So my question is:

Anyone know of any shops that install turbos around Long Beach/Los Angeles, CA? I would really appreciate any info.

Another question: They previous owner told me the kit was street legal which I believed because he had just SMOGed and I'm sure he didn't remove the kit in order to do it. The installation guide however says it's not legal since 2003. Do you guys have any idea if my kit is Cali legal? Thanks for any help guys.

Any modifications in Cali are pretty much illegal lol


You should post in the market place or the regional forums for more help on the welding and shops... this section is open to all and most of us don't live in long beach or LA. Hell I'm in Wisconsin.

Lol, you cannot simply show up to a smog station and pass smog. You either have to go back to stock or find a shady smog shop.
