Hey guys what is your opinion of AFI header for b series full built engine??

 

i know this guy that has this ati b series race header and it made some serious power check it out ....

 

Race only. Big Motor only.
Include your setup... a fully built B16 is different from a fully built B20.

 

They seem nice.

I've always been a fan of SSR/DTR myself.

how about some damn details about what you are working with and what you want to do with the engine? doesnt that sound like useful information?

Some how I doubt OP has a fully built anything lol, more like a b16 with some bolt on's at best.

OP most likely doesnt have anything. just making a wishlist of parts.

 

On the top of my list would be Myers, AFI and maybe a Sheepey header and/or All in fab or AR Fab.. something like that.

if you wanna make power with a header, you're going to have to spend money.. Period.

Stock gsr 81mm block with 12.5 mm wiseco pistons and eagle rods. Stock gsr head with toda c cams ,springs and retainers, edelbrock victor x mani, 125shot of nos with SSR SIDE EXIT 11.2 @119mph. All motor I ran 12.0
That being said actually selling my ssr side exits.for $900

 

Was that motor in a go-kart? 12.0 on that setup? 1/8 mile?

82x89 with 12.5 compression supertech pistons.... brian crower stage 3 cams with the full head package.... ededelbrock victor x intake, aem coil pack and aem series 2 ecu....

Does not even look remotely close to equal length. #3 must be a lot longer than #4.

 

inner city race team here on the east coast had it M80 which is a highly competitive car in 11.50 and 10.50 index and car moves

 

So you want power from 6k-8500 huh?

 

If you're asking if 300 is doable with my camshafts, yes, matter of fact, I believe Jason lumpkin set a record 1/4 wise for NA b series this pass IFO event.. and was having Piston to head issues. Ran a 10.3 @ 134.. with the motor having clearance issues.. lol.. he'll be racing this weekend, hopefully we can see some 9's and 136+.

:qft: there are other cheaper options that can and will make okay power but nothing will beat a high end unit built for your setup and goals If you're trying to get 110% out of you're engine=$$$$
