I did some searching prior to this. Im failing emissions and I passed 1 yr ago and havent changed any thing now im failing. I did a fluel injector service and vacuum flush on my car and ever since then its had up and down idle. After running a while it stops and idles perfect. I pulled off 1 hose for the vacuum flush and put it back on. Took off the feed fuel line for the injector service. When I took it off I unplugged my fuel pump so no fuel would be sent but when I started the car with just the fuel treatment fuel started pouring outta the disconnected feed line. Is that normal?? Ever since I did these services I have a weird idle. Car runs prefect still. Had a check engine light after I had vacuum line off. But I just pulled the battery to reset it. After all this I go take emissions and fail due to high HC. I talk to a tech at my work says too do a tune up. I do that and clean my iacv and do worse on the HC test. Any one have any ideas?? Its just weird that the lumpy idle goes away after driving.

Any help would be great.

 

High HC is ussualy Cat, and the lumpy idle is the IACV valve, try to clean it up or replace it.

 

I pulled the iacv and sprayed it all out. Still the same. I do hear a rattle and like 2500 cruising rpms so it must be my dam cat. ****

 

here is a video of what it does. It will have weird idle then Idle just fine. Pulled the iacv plug and it changed my idle. So I know it's working
