i've been driving around for 3 days non-stop since i got my lisence, and i've gotten some nice compliments on my sol.
:D

first, im in a cvs parking lot, and some middle-aged guy walks over starts asking me questions...

him: "wow, is that an s2000"
me: "nah, i wish"
him: "mr2 spyder?"
me: "nope, its a del sol"
him: "wow, dont see many of these anymore, i wonder why they stopped making them..."
me: "yeah, too bad they stopped"
him: "oh well, i gotta run, really nice car though"

then later, im sitting outside blockbuster waiting for a friend to come out, and a guy in a porsche boxster pulls up, and asks for directions, but in the end, he says "nice car by the way." obviously, i complimented him back. but to be complimented by a porsche owner.

lastly, and most significatly, girls at lights. always have something nice to say. doesn't get any better than that.

Ho's used to love my sol. This one dumb bi0tch thought it was a porshe. HAHA. Boxters suck BTW. Nice sol tho.

Del Sol's are bitch-cars. why you ask? well it 'looks' fast , stock for stock, and 95% of them are automatics. what self respecting man would drive a car such as that...i know i wouldnt....

BUT....for those very rare Del Sol VTEC's that are out there, those are nice cars...

well i didnt mean to strike a nerve! i never said your car was a peice of ****, if i thought it was, i would have made it readily apparent. i was simply saying what i felt about del sols. there's only 1 in my town driven by a guy, the rest, girls....what can i say? its a popular car in the female market. just as mustangs are to younger generation males, and more importantly FEMALES. lots of girls drive new-gen mustangs, it wasnt an attack on your personal character or your car, let it go.

Car does look very clean and mint

 

all he was implying to is that the Del SOl's aren't AS performance orientated as say a 95 Civic Si. They're pretty much even, ones with D16Z6, but with the same bolt ons and suspension upgrades, the Civic will keep climbing on it because of its structural characteristics. My good friend has a DOHC Del SOl and I LOVE IT! I wouldn't buy it, but to each his own.

 

BTW..what kind of camera were those taken with?

yup. my friend has a delsol. and they likk his car better. more buttons to push inside. as for mine 92 hb for the interior. but i still love my car. my brother has a del sol. i cant wait till he starts driving it. maybe he will want to trade ocassionally.

 

Lotta people here think sols are chick cars too. I think the reason being is that they are smaller than my dick, but your car is nice man
