yesterday. i was showing some kid my engine. forgot to put the hoodpins back on....and then went down the street. soon as i was going about 60 damn hood smashed my windshield and the hood is mangled........ahhhhhhhhh. hopefully i can get free carbon fiber hood out of it. does anyone know if this would be covered under comprehensive. i have full coverage.

 

i can see it si insurable if when installed it has warrenty so the insurnce company could look at it and say it was done properly. can you just say some kid stole them and you swent to go to work and your hood flew up?

i took of the hoodlatch cause it was broken ...for now i just ran hoodpins. till i got the carbon fiber hood.....ahhhhhhh so pissed.

 

join the club. same thing happen to me. but now i run hood latch.

same thing happened to a kid at the track the other day.. had his hood open. went to race , pins didnt got all the way in.. middle fo the track the hood flies open.. nice B16 CRX .. was lucky he didnt crash... i say always have the latch even tho u have pins...

 

i know the feeling...good thing i don't give a rats *** about my car (well for now ). i just push the hood down, put the pins back in and got my windshield fixed (paid for that out of my own pocket since it was my own damn fault).

not sure if insurance will cover it since you have a deductable of some sort and only after the deductable is met will insurance pay for the rest.
