Default 95 civic w/D16

hey, So currently have a d16 vtec civic coupe. its got the d16 in it and i have a b18 (non vtec). is it worth my time to put the b18 into the car, or should i mod the d16.

someone told me i should find a b20 vtec head and put it on the b18? someone else said to use the d16 vtec on b18. this doesnt sound right to me.

im looking to put a decent amount of money for maximum powre gain.

None of that should sound right to you. There is no B20 VTEC head, and putting a Z6 head on a B18B1 would require more fabrication work than it would be worth.

That being said, you need to figure that out on your own. A B18B1 isn't going to magically fall into your engine bay - you'll need a new transmission, a couple mounts, an ECU, and some other odds and ends. You can find all of those details in our FAQ's sticky. Your question is also answered there.
