2003 Acura 1.7 EL cold idle throttle problem
Hey all, new to the forums here and hoping someone could give me some ideas on what is going on with my 2003 acura 1.7 el I just purchased.
The problem I am incountering only happens when the car is cold. The engine rpm will drop to around 4-500 rpm on the boarder of stalling and u can press the gas and it won't rev up just stays at the low rpm them with foot on accelerator it will eventually rev up then drop back down again... it will do this usually a few times before it will run properly pretty much everytime I run the car from cold. Any ideas? Thank you
And there is no CEL on
CEL is on now with 2 codes
P0420 (67) (A/T, M/T, CNG and CVT) – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
P1457 (90) (A/T and CVT) - EVAP Control System Leakage(EVAP Canister System

1. Try this
If that doesn't work, then you have to change your cat converter.
2. You need to change your Evap Canister Vent Shut Valve check the link below how to do it.
