rebuilt aoya
i have a 1995 honda accord ex 2.2 with an auto transmission code aoya after the rebuild it will only shift in to gear for about the first 5 min after that it will not go into any gear.has anyone else had this happen or konw what could be going on with it.
Start it up, let it idle and keep putting ATF into the trans. Check the dipstick after every quart. When the full mark is reached, place it into R, hold it for 10 seconds, then shift to N, hold for 10seconds, and down the line all the way to D1. Most likely at D4 it will either not engage or D4 will drop out and you will not be able to select any gear. Pull dipstick, wipe off, reinsert and check fluid, most likely it will be dry. Add a quart check again etc etc.
You will go through every gear and make sure every gear holds and then check the dipstick. Not until every gear holds and the case if full will the transmission work properly.
i did as your saying car ran fine for about 36 hours and now it will go down the road for about 3 or 4 miles then stops moving in any gear but if i turn the car off and wait about five mins restart it will move for about 3 or 4 miles then again no more movement
