Enjoy.

...and the money shot.

Come spring time, the EJ1 will have a new, sleeved 2.0L engine setup, big yellow 4-piston DC5-R Brembo Calipers and possibly different wheels.
Thanks for looking.

Love it!!
The rear diffuser looks out of place IMO, but whatever, it's your car.
I'd also like to see an authentic lip on there, or at least a CF replica if you're going to run a rep. Those poly lips look really cheap to me.

I am not typically one to buy and support fake/replica parts. The lip does look cheap. Because it was cheap. On our roads, I'd rather thrash a $150 lip than a $600 real Spoon lip. That is the only thing I don't care much about.
Thanks for the replies regardless.

Best shot of the engine I have:

Picture is from a car show over the summer. Valve cover was changed since then, obviously. Everything else is the same.
First Molding carbon lip was only just on for the show, aswell.
Thanks
Nice turbo setup. Car exterior looks great to imo.
Do agree it needs a different lip though, eg VTi lip would look much cleaner.
Diffuser doesn't look that bad, notice any difference with it?

I disagree with the bit about the lip. The lip fits perfectly with the moldings, sideskirts, and mudguards, no need for CF or authentic thats just a useless Form > Function expense. Everything except the diffuser is amazing, but i see why it was put so high, to keep the parallelism with the bumpers rear body line.

looks really clean and nice man! Whats the specs/tires on those ce's? Fyi, the front lip looks perfect to me, it matches the stock sideskirts and looks really clean.. You can't please everybody on your car and people seem over-critical these days. Some people just like to "Hate." Honda people these days are super ignorant.
I'm a follower of Jason's blog so I saw this earlier. Looks great man, the lip looks fine to me. The rear diffuser also looks good in my eyes. I really like how the exterior isn't over the top, keep it up. Nice to see a coupe instead of a hatch for once as well.

The sideskirts are "stock" from an Acura EL, basically the same as an EJ8 Civic sedan, fit perfect with little modification and are larger and flatter than stock EJ1 skirts.
Wheel specs are: 16 x 8 +35
Thanks, yeah Jason's a good guy, takes great pictures.
I don't see a single "ignorant" poster in here. You guys are looking too hard to find a scape goat. Everyone in here likes this guys car. Stop whining like a bunch of pussies.

Please, no bickering/arguing back and forth in this thread. It will not solve anything.
It's fine, I am open to comments and opinions positive/negative or constructive. I built the car for me, as a ground-up build, with my own two hands from chassis/suspension/brakes to engine/trans/turbo setup.
It is not meant to appeal to the masses, I built it to have fun. Tuning Honda's and Acura's has been my hobbie for 10+ years. I've heard and seen it all, shed lots of sweat and bloody knuckles over the years.
Or this guy^^^
Anything else to comment on? Or just some more internet shorthand to amuse yourself?
Guy built a nice car. We (adults) made comments in an adult way. We're not the "haters".
