Default 93 civic si clutch grinding

Hey guys, I just recently put in a new clutch and release bearing. As I'm driving, I notice that my clutch is grinding everytime I shift gears. It only grinds when I release the clutch pedal. Can it be the release bearing or the clutch? Help..

I'm not a mechanic, but I guess it could be the thrust bearing in the gearbox?

Moved to the '92 - '00 Civic forum for better responses.

If it's grinding when you begin depressing the clutch pedal you've got a throwout bearing problem.

Sounds like you have a release problem...if the clutch does not completely release when the pedal is pressed, you will get grinding. The first thing I would try is bleeding the release system. If your pedal feels spongy, this is almost definitely your problem...
