Default Check Engine Light, 0 blinks?

A few days ago my CEL came on in my 88 civic hatch. Every time I reset the code via disconnect/reconnecting battery, the CEL comes back on immediately after I start it. After reading the sticky regarding CEL codes/diagnosis, I went under the passenger side dashboard and observed the ECU blinker.

The ECU blinker doesn't blink at all, and according to the chart, that means it's an ECU-related issue. Is there a possibility the blinker just doesn't work?

I tried to do some research on bad ECU symptoms: car won't start, reduced gas efficiency, etc. I don't have any of the symptoms that I read about.

If the code truly is zero blinks, and I do have an ECU problem, what's my next move?

Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Possible. Try another ECU. What motor do you have?

Are you putting a jumper in the service connector before looking at the light on the ECU?

If I were to borrow another ECU, from what car would it have to be from? It's a d15b2

Jumper = paperclip/tiny wire?
service connector = harness under the driver/passenger side dashboard?

If so, I couldn't find one.

you've got an 88 so the small 2 pin connector is in the engine bay

you need a PM5 ecu to test. from any 88-91 civic/crx STD/CX/DX

False alarm fellas, I'm an idiot. What I *thought* was the LED was the bottom part of a screw. Turns out the LED is flashing me 7 flashes which means faulty throttle angle sensor.

I appreciate all the help though! Sorry to have wasted your time!

That's okay. At least you know what it is now. A faulty TPS would definitely cause your issue.
