Okay, this is my pop's car and I don't really mess with it very often. He is having some issue with his A/C where the compressor and blower motor don't kick on sometimes. The dial on the dash will be, for example, half way on the fan and nothing will be happneing. Somtimes just turning the dial off and back on will 'kick start' the A/C system. Other times it will go days without working.

I could also be wrong on it being the compressor/blow motor. I have a 1989 Civic that I'm basing his issue off of. He thinks it could be a fuse that is just loose, but I don't think that would cause his issue. Any tips would be nice. Hard to troubleshoot the car because I don't get to look at all too often.

2006/2007 (Not entirely sure) Honda Civic LX. It has the power windows and locks. It's a 4 door with the R18 motor I believe. Non-iVTEC, completely stock with around 80,000 miles on it.

Really hope I can get some help on this. No reason for my old man to drive around in the Florida summer without A/C again.

 

Not really sure where anything is even located on this car. He keeps me pretty far away from it.

 

Guess I'll just trouble shoot this alone.

 

The blower motor transistor could be bad, but that has nothing to do with the compressor, those civics have problems with the a/c relays sticking, and keeping the system pumping until the pressure valve pops on the compressor and looses it's freon.
