I need to establish myself on these forums instead of just reading so here I am.
I am on my 3rd accord, went from a 95 manual lx, a tree in my front yard fell on it so I had to get a car quick and ended up with a 96 ex. It was a great car but an automatic. Sold it and finally I found the car I had been searching for. A 2001 exl manual sedan (i have a family), w/out the spoiler. It was made in japan according to the vin, so I felt like that was a bonus.
As far as mods. I did the breaks first. I purchased the wheels/tires, rotors, breaks and knuckles from a 2001 acura tl and swapped out my 4 lug stuff for the 5 lug. I then found the 96 acura legend 2 piston calipers reman. on amazon for 120 and put those on. I have the master cylinder but so far I don't feel I need it. Total for that project was less than 700
Now I looking to performance. Last friday I picked up an H22A4 motor with a blown head gasket for 250. Now I am in the process of rebuilding it. Didn't realize how much shopping i could do on these forums.
