Hi,

I have some rust on my front door panel that I d like to repair.
The rust is under the door protector that protect the door from dent

The proctor is the black piece on the door as show here :



Do you known how to remove that piece ???


Also , added another question : is it worth to ask the bodyshop to repair the rust that ap is under the molding of the 2 door ( L and R). I known the guy and he can make it for 200-250$. The size of the rust is 3cm X 3cm

(I am planing to keep the car 2-3 years )

The side trim/molding - you have clips along the back side (believe it's 3 or 4) that you should be able to remove by taking off the interior door panel and then the plastic vapor shield.

 

On my coupe, 1996, I have 3 clips holding the thing in.

Thanks for the information , I will remove it to see if the rust is really bad ...
