Default can you remove the plastic back piece from the headlight ?

(my car is 90crx, ),

i was wondering if you can seperate the plastic back side piece of the headlight, so it comes off the glass headlight part ? or is that part of the whole main headlight assembly ? where its permenantly attached to each other ?

my driver side headlight has a broken piece that goes on the back plastic part which is where one of the adjusting oval things screws into, so without it, its all loose and wobbly.

so i wanted to see if i could just get some cheap priced used crappy headlight and just use the back plastic part, and put it onto my headlight, which is in good condition.

Not sure on the time or temp, but this is the method I've seen used.

I'm not saying that NaturalTone is wrong, but 360° seems high to me. I'd start with a lower temp and just see what happens.

i did'nt think of that, at least there is a way to seperate and take that part off, well if i do that i'll be sure to just use a lower bake setting to be safe and see how it works, and if needed i can always do again with higher temp.

do you know if the headlight assembly from any other EF civic models fit the crx and use the same headlight ? thanx

i also have a heat gun, so i can maybe try using that also, to heat it, softening it to seperate that piece ?

Pretty sure that will work. It's the same as the oven method except safer in my opinion.
