91 Civic Hatch - cranks but won't start
Hey guys I have a 1991 Civic Hatch, it used to have a B-series in it, the guy I got it from switched the B-series out and put in a D16Z6. Wiring harness is obd0 and the motor is obd1. He did everything for the swap, car will crank but will not fire, spray gas or ether into the intake, it fires and runs till the fluid is gone. Checked the ECU and it is showing code 20, which is the ELD system. Why is the car not starting up and running? It acts like it isn't getting fuel, could that be because of the ELD, or is there more than 1 issue present? I have been without a vehicle for about 3 weeks now, and need to get this car running, any help would be appreciated!!!! Thanks
I think you have a lot of issues.

What ECU are you running?
What distributor is on the engine?
You can't use the Z6 distributor if the ECU is an OBD0 type.
Is this one of those tucked engine harnesses?

I have a chipped B16 ecu that is no good to me lol I have a pm8 in the car right now and also a pm6 sitting in the seat, it is a vtech distributor for a obd1, it is accordingly a mini me swap done but vtech is not functional as of yet
And I am not sure what you mean with the tucked engine harness
I pulled the fuel rail and cranked the car over, injectors are not spraying at all and I did a pressure test on the fuel system and I am getting between 35-40 psi just before the rail

The pm8 is going to run like garbage and neither the pm8 and pm6 are going to get you vtec. Properly, you will need to convert to OBD1 and get a P28.
Without going OBD1, I'm pretty sure you can use the B16 ECU and get your vtec.
Since it's chipped you can just get a new MAP on there so it won't be running super rich.
Other than that - none of your ECUs are going to work with that distributor.
You need to get an OBD0 distributor and modify it to bolt up to the Z6 head.
Distributor controls fuel and spark.

vtec or no vtec - you can NOT mix an OBD1 distributor with an OBD0 ECU.
Engine will run with ELD code, but here is the troubleshooting for it anyway

BTW - expect more codes when you get the engine running if you keep it on that PM8.
Guaranteed to get a code 12 that you will never be able to make go away.

So if I switch the distributor to a obd0 and remap the B16 ecu I should be in the clear on that end? Or I need to run a p28 ecu and convert everything to obd1, correct?
