Start up problems with my gsr, stumped...
One day my gsr decided to not start what so ever, and I am completely out of ideas of what it could be. I just replaced the dizz, plugs, and wires less than 2 months ago, i still have spark (checkd it by leaving one spark plug out n cranks the engine), fuel pump is working (disconnected fuel rail n primed engine....fuel came out), replaced fuel filter 2 months ago. The car has been running too lean lately, but i just made a swap of intake manifolds so the car should be running not to lean or not too rich.
Anyone have any idea of what could be the problem? Electrical maybe?

Is the problem only occurring from time to time or all the time?
The problem of not starting occurred only once...a week and a half ago....hasnt started up since...
Is the motor turning over? Have you taken out your spark plugs to air out all the unburnt fuel? Is timing still at TDC? Any CEL before the car died?
The motor will turn over as long as i want it to. I have only take the spark plugs off once, and that was a week a ago. Ive tried to start my car at least 5 times in that time frame. I am unsure of the timing. Car was running fine tho. One morning it just **** on me, like something electrical is shot
Make sure your injectors are firing. There maybe fuel getting to the fuel rail but if the injectors are not opening then there is no fuel getting into the combustion chambers. Double check for fuel, spark and compression.

First thing you want to check for is spark. My car did the same thign about two years back turned out to be the ICM. I would go pick up a spark plug tester from harbor freight and then see if you are getting any spark, and then go from there.

Spray a SMALL amount of starting fluid into the throttle body or a vacuum port on the intake manifold. If the car starts when you do that but dies after it runs out of starting fluid, and the fuel pump is working, and fuel is making it to the rail....find out why the injectors are not opening.
Main relay may be the cause.
