Default Part Numbers

well I need to know the differences between the part numbers
12310-RCA-A03 & 12310-RCA-A02 valve covers they are for the 03 thru 05 Accords V6 models. the reason Is I had to replace this front valve cover because it had a small crack in it. and had to replace it I ordered part number 12310-RCA-A02 and they sent me 12310-RCA-A03 I didn't realize the part numbers where different until I had already installed the front valve cover. The new one looks exactly like the original one on the car except the new one has 2 threads in the middle like a bracket is supposed to go there. and the old one doesn't but the inside of both valve covers look the same. man if its not one thing its another this is just really stressing

I searched but not much comes up like I said before. there's not to much of a difference inside the old valve cover. the old one has Gold Torx bit screws like you can remove them. and the New valve cover part # 12310-RCA-A03 has it riveted like you cant remove it. And has two Threads in the front looks like a bracket of some sort goes there. its for a 05 I realized its to late to remove it now. Until I can get the 03 Valve cover. I'm guesting its a updated cover. also I asked the parts guy when I went to the dealership today they said its just a updated cover. They asked if it runs any different it runs the same as smooth as ever. But I just want to be sure and have a second opinion I'm going to get the correct 03 EXV6 valve cover. I just want to know if its safe to run it for a couple of weeks tell I can get the valve cover I need.

A update to this old Thread turns Out A03 Valve Cover is now replacing the A02 valve cover. that all 03 thru 07 Accord V6 models use. Guess its now a superseded part number. so if anyone orders a front valve cover for there Accord V6 for any reason. your online dealer or dealership will send you the A03 there's no performance difference so im thinking they just did that so you can't remove those Gold Torx bit Screws or Try to Tamper with it which would be a very bad thing. anyway thought I would let everyone Know.

I usually don't buy from junk yards plus I don't have the guts to take parts off those Accord V6 models like that. Figured those cars deserve better. even if it is just a Bunch of Aluminum plastic and glass.
