Default 1998 Civic GX - Blown Airbags, etc.

Ok, so I had the sun in my eyes and I bumped a median cutting a corner off too much, square in the center of the forward frame. Set the airbags off so it trashed the windshield. Also cracked the tranny case. Didn't hurt the wheels or suspension, so I was able to drive it away until the tranny bled out. Normally, I guess one would total the car, but I'm fond of filling up for $4 or $5 dollars at the CNG station. I've replaced the tranny, got used unblown airbags and an unblown SRS module. Still have the windshield to go and get the frame pulled forward and down about a half inch so the hood matches the bumpers again. My question is this: Is it okay to hook up the SRS module and the airbags? I don't want to hook up the battery and have another disaster. Thanks.

As long as you do it correctly, yes.
