Icon2 Ecu question

So I recently dropped a 00 b16a2 into my 98 cx hatch. I'm running the stock cx harness and ran all the necessary wires for vtec, knock etc. I have the 00 si ecu that came with the engine. Obviously I can run a jumper harness to the ecu for obd2a to obd2b, but I'm not sure if I will pass inspection with that. Is there a ecu that I can run without a jumper harness that will allow me to pass NYS inspection?

Obd2a p30 from a Del Sol. A p2t will not pass unless you get the ftp sensor, or your state allows monitors to not be ready.

Check to see if you can have monitors offline, if they let you have one offline you can use the the p2t, or get the ftp sensor

You might be ok with the P2T then as long as you do this.

Fool the ecu
We fool the ECU by providing a similar voltage that the FTP would normally send -- this happens to be around 2.5v. You need to acquire a 10k linear potentiometer: Radio Shack Part Number 271-1715.
The outter 2 pins are going to be +5v reference and ground (does not matter which), while the center pin will be your output feeding back to the ECU pinout.

(Before you hook up the pot's center pin to the ECU, use a multimeter to adjust the output to 2.5v.)

Here are the 96-98 civic & integra ECU pin assignments:
D10: +5v
D15: FTP input
D11: GroundHere are the 99-00 civic & 99-01 integra ECU pin assignments:
C28: +5v
A29: FTP input
C18: Ground
When I ran that I think I only had the one monitor not online due to it not being a complete trick to the ECU. It gets rid of the CEL but the emissions monitor is smarter and sends variances in the voltage and since it will not see the variances it will never come online.

They are rare, I ended up finding mine on eBay and paid $300, I would go with the P2T.

I don't know, but those are pretty rare also. A JDM ECU will not pass emissions at all also.

All I can find are obd1 p30s. I see more itr ones. Idk if it matter that it's a b16 and not a b18. I didn't think a jdm one would.

Damn Im glad I have a local hook up where I live and dont have to worry about the visual inspection crap. Just go for the jumper harness and be done with it.

P2t is an easy option with minimal wiring.

It's actually not a visual inspection. My car has to be plugged into a machine and has to come back with no codes. I think that is my best bet.
