Default lil guy sfwd build

Whats up honda tech? ive been contemplating on making a build thread for a little while now and now that my build is coming to an end i thought i might as well. My goal is to be the youngest in the field and maybe even make it through a few rounds. I started building this car in the beginning of 2013 and hopefully have it out and get my nhra license before the tracks around here close for the season.

motor:
laskey built gsr block
benson sleeves 84mm
cp pistons 10;3
pauter rods
b16 head assembled by headgames
super tech springs and retainers
supertech black nitride intake valves
supertech steel exhaust valves
golden eagle lsv kit (long story but the idiot i bought the head off of looks as if he hit the surface of the head with a dremel drill and i couldnt get the plug out)
arp head studs
gsr cams (for now)
golden eagle cam gears
edelbrock victor x intake mani
skunk2 72mm throttle body
ati dampener

fuel:
id2000s
weldon 2035a
-10 feed
-8 return
weldon 2040 fpr
golden eagle rail
fcs 5 gallon cell

drivetrain:
stock gsr trans (for now)
quaife lsd
cc twin disk
dss 5.9s

turbo setup:
pte 6766 t3 .82 a/r
nitro top mount
pte 46mm gate
afi dual backdoor intercooler
3'' piping w/ vibrant vanjens
tial bov
3 1/2'' uppipe

suspension and brakes:
skunk 2 pro c's
skunk2 control arms
skunk2 camber kit
kstuned front drag brake kit
wilwood master cyl
nitro brake boost delete
full race traction bar
hasport mounts 92a inserts?

chassis:
exospeed front end
nitro blades 13x8 & 15x4
mickey 235/60 on rpf1s for dyno and driving around
10pt by wayne @ 4130
kirkeys

electronics:
aem v2
aem epm
harness by joel at strd
rear wheel speed sensor
kinetik 12v battery
the car is getting wired by randy @ rstech

this car went through so many different ideas thats the reason why some parts are the way they are first i wanted to have just a street car than a 10.50 index car that played on the street than i wanted to make it go 9s on a 62mm turbo than bought the 6766 just a normal teenager i guess lol
the night i brought her home

before loading her up for paint

day i got her back from paint (excuse the garage we were renovating)

dat *** doe

nitro blade fitment

ks drag brake kit i love how it looks lol

ready to slide the swap in

15 minutes later...lol

did a leak down on the motor it was leaking almost 80% so i pulled the head off put some coolant in the chambers and what do ya know the valves arent seated whatsoever the kid i bought the head off of had put oversized valves in it and didnt tell me so when i originally assembled the head i got stock size valves so thats when i took the head to headgames and dave took care of me
street tires

stopped by 4130 the other day to see how my fab is coming along and this is what i saw

excuse my buddies fat hand lol

I couldnt be happier the way it is turning out this has been my dream since i was probably 15 when i started going to alot of the OGS events and saw all of the sfwd guys now that im gonna be in the lanes with them it just makes all this hardwork and money that ive had to spend to get it the way i want it that much more worth it to me! This is just the beginning i plan on getting an actual trans over the winter there just soo damn expensive i couldnt swing it right now, twin scroll mani, bigger turbo and a better fuel system but for right now i think itll be fun to say the least! If anyone has any feedback im more than open to ideas knowing alot of guys on here have been doing this for a long time ill take the advice thanks for looking.

"just normal teenager" haha hardly. When I was 16 I boosted my EF hatch with a junkyard turbo and pvc charge pipes lol. You've built a top notch big money car! Looks good and enjoy it!

ive been having second thoughts on keeping it legal and have fun at the track or keeping it a street car. i went to wcf this weekend and walked through the pits most of the time just checking out different setups and what not and it just seemed like i seen alot of cars getting the heads pulled off, trans pulled out or the whole entire motor and trans were out of the car because something broke and i dont think id be able to swing that financially. i mean i know this setup wont be competitive but i dont think itll be worth the time or the money trying to make it competitive. i still havent gotten the cage done yet so idk if i should hold off on trying to play with the big boys until i get a promotion or something. whats some of your guys inputs on keeping it legal at the track or having a street car?

Racing is expensive and stuff breaks a lot.... It's gonna be hard being the little guy in a sea of big fish. In the end we do it because we enjoy it. If it is what you love you will never regret one minute of it or one dollar spent.

That is my experience....

You could easily be competitive in the 10.50 index class, which is a great class to get your feet wet. You still would need some sort of cage.
