Manual to auto
Trying to figure out how to swap a 5 speed to make an auto. I have a 93 auto trans to put in a 95 manual civic. My issue is wiring. Everything will bolt up fine but in the 93 the ECM is on passenger floor. In the 95 it's under the hood. And the 95 has no tails for auto hook ups. Lost and need help. Syncros bad in 5 speed and don't wanna rebuild. Have the auto available. 1.6 vtec.
You'll need the transmission, ECU, and complete wiring harness, all from a 92-95 EX or SI. You'll also need the console shifter assembly and linkages, and possibly a few mounts on top of that. That's just what I can think of off the top of my head - I'm sure I'm forgetting more than a couple things.
Basically, you'll need an entire donor car. Now that you know how much you need, and how complicated it is...why are you against rebuilding?

lol it's cheaper just to find a d-series tranny for 200$ or so then to get a whole donor car. also if you're asking this question it is most likely above your skill level. rebuilding a tranny isn't the easiest thing but it's easier then a manual to auto cheaper to.
You don't
Nope. Passenger's side pocket mount welded to the frame rail is different, the automatic version angles up, that needs to be swapped and welded on.
Nope, I'm not sure where you're getting that idea, all '92 - '95 Civics have the ECM on the passenger's side behind the carpet.
You need to swap the cabin harness which basically involves stripping the car, dash, steering column, pedals, heater core, etc all needs to come out to get at it. Pedals need to be swapped (automatic gas pedal and throttle cable are different, it wont drop into passing gear without it)
Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and just buy a used trans on craigslist for $50 - $150
