hey people , need some help figuring out my problem , my crx wont crank over. my dash lights dont come on and when i hook it up to a jumper the lights come on and it still doesnt crank over ? anybody care to share some thoughts ?

 

Hit your starter with a hammer a couple times. See if it starts. If it does, probably time for a new starter. If not, check wires.

 

what do you mean by wont crank over. does it make sounds? just a click? nothing and dash lights go out?

Sounds deffinately like a ground issue.

 

Yeah, but starters do die. That's why I said hit it with a hammer. I drove my car for a couple weeks with the hammer trick while I waited on my paycheck.

 

check ALL fuses, make sure it has gas, and listen to hear if you got the fuel pump priming when in the on position. If not then sounds like we're in the same boat. any codes?

 

doesnt make a sound and doesnt click , only when i hook it up to a jumper , then itll just click

 

yeah i tried that a couple times , dont think so , but ill give it another shot

 

lol its none of the fuses , its not my fuel pump or main relay , i can hear it prime when i turn it to on position

 

take a booster cable and put it from the engine block and the other end to the battery negative.

 

And make sure the ground is good connection. If not check your under hood IG fuse and the Ignition Signal fuse under the dash

 

hey man he says all fuses are good to go. even though no dash lights are working.

 

Just because the fuses are good doesn't mean the ground wire to the fuse box is good.

This is definitely a ground issue. I would put it in neutral, turn the key to on, run some cable from the battery straight to the starter and see if it cranks.
