Default Pressure plate/TOB/CD,etc is all rusted...why ?

Getting ready to put my new clutch and noticed pretty much my whole clutch and flywheel components are rusted/have a nasty film of rust dust(idk lol). I've done the clutch on my civic before after a years time lol and it looked fine. there is no clutch cover(see pic) or SC boot if that's what it's called never came with one and can't fine a used one. could the lack of that be it ? I find it hard to believe water made it's way all threw the bell housing just from the lack of it. can take pic but I've WD-40's the **** out of it, also had some issue of the PP not fully disengaging the clutch disc casing it to almost stall out when stopped in gear with foot on the clutch. if this could be the cause will deff look to the dealership to get a new one.

thx guys !

are you talking about a brown dust? that's normal. It's the material from the clutch disc.

yes it's brown hmmm if I had an air hose/nozzle I could have blown it off and seen. the clutch is some OE replacement no branding anywhere.

i don't see rust in the pic just grime attracted to the oil film you have going on

if there is rust inside it's due to your location and the corrosive air
