Best != cheapest.

Best = C's

Cheapest = oem

"Made of steel" means nothing. An improper lathe (or whatever fab method they use), or incorrect metal grain, or even just cheap Chinese steel can be easily snapped.

That being said, if you're shifting correctly, you won't snap it. Friend of mine fabbed one out of plastic to prove a point, used it for an entire year. Like Marvin said, the people who are snapping shift arms are the people who are trying to act like they're hardcore mega racecar drivers.

i use a bwr single bend shifter and i love it. it uses a bearing instead if a bushing on the shifter so it feels super solid. and its on the cheaper side

I've used a few ebay ones with poly bushings in the past and never had one issue. Right now I have a B&M w/ energy bushings and have nothing bad at all to say about it either. I think the key here is the bushings, make sure to replace them no matter what route you end up taking.

S2 dual bend is great. The non branded roller bearing gets it done too has a little more sketchy feel tho

exactly right bro many of my friends have Snapped the cheap ebay short shifters, but that because they were beating the F out of them shifting way to hard. One friend was being stupid and hit 2ed to 3erd way to hard messing around and broke the shaft off the top of the pivot ball and another friend was street racing Wich I don't condone, he broke it at the end were the bolt goes through. And the one I have the last owner installed broke off where the shift **** threads start and I was just putting the car in reverse backing out a parking spot. But I know people that have used cheap aluminum ones for two three four years no problem and still going good with some racing abuse.
