What do you think of my paint job?
New here. I just got my car painted yesterday. Anyways I asked on another honda thread and people talked crap and said it was ugly and a half *** job. I want your opinion.
not quite sure what you are asking here in terms of quality or in general how it looks. it looks blotchy as any low budget spray can job should be. it looks flat and dull, so if that was the look you were trying to achieve than it looks great!
If it's supposed to be mat black it's too shiny, if it's supposed to be base coat/clear coat it's too dull. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it.

Why worry so much about what the opinions of others are? At the end of the day, you're the one that has to live with it on a daily basis, so it only really matters if you like it. If what other people say about it makes you insecure about it, that's probably a sign that somewhere inside you aren't really happy with it.
Another point, seriously. If you are going to do a non-gloss black paintjob, the car needs to be one of 3 things:
1. Brand new.
2. Expensive.
3. Very well setup.
It's an EK Civic, so it has to fulfill number 3. You cant expect to put a flat black paint job on a stock EK, and get positive reviews. It also doesnt help that rattlecan flat black runs rampant in the "cant afford a paint job for mah Civic camp.
That car needs to have a swap, wheels, nicer brakes, aftermarket seats, steering wheel, ect, to pull off flat black.

For all the effort put into it, all that time spent around the car, masking, spraying and all that. If only a bit more effort was exerted and quality paint was used, as well as the proper procedures... You could've gotten a better paintjob. Hell, I've seen a lot of cheap DIY paint jobs better than that. Did you take it to a shop, or take it to your highschool autobody shop... Wait, even my highschool autobody shop does a better job. Dude.... it's pretty ugly. Straight body though.
