Gsr spitting and sputtering/bogging out
Hey guys, I have a 96 civic (u.s. ex, can. si) with a 94 jdm GSR swapped into it. First ill give you a little rundown on the car/motor and then ill tell you what its doing and what we've tried so far to correct it.
The motor underwent an OEM+ rebuild this past winter (2012-2013) which consisted of all new gaskets (top and bottom end), ARP headstuds, mainstuds and rod bolts, ACL bearings, Hastings piston rings, OEM oil pump, Gates water pump, OEM timing belt. The harness is the d16y8 obd2a harness, with connectors repinned to match the gsr connectors, and an obd2a-obd1 jumper harness for the obd1 usdm gsr ecu (p72). I've put about 5000kms on the acr since the rebuild.
So here's the problem. A few weeks ago it started spitting and sputtering whenever you gave it gas. Seems to idle fine, but as soon as you give it gas it hiccups and jerks until about 3500rpm, then it accelerates through the remaining rpm range just fine. Does it in every gear with almost any amount of gas (1/4 throttle to wot). IT IS NOT THROWING A C.E.L.
So far we've done a compression test which yielded 215psi across the board. The plug wires, distributor cap, ignition coil and fuel filter all have about 6500kms on them. The plugs and rotor button were replaced two nights ago, so maybe 50kms on them. We tried cleaning out the injectors/strainers and nothing changed. We also swapped out the Fuel Pressure Regulator and still no change. We've tried disconnecting the TPS and MAP sensors (separate occasions) with no success. We also tried swapping out the entier dizzy for another obd1 gsr dizzy and nothing changed.
So I was just wondering what you guys thought it could be? Any and all input is very welcome. Here's a pic of the car and the bay just to entertain you after all that reading, lol. Thanks in advance guys!

secure it with bolts, screws dont cut it in the torque dept.
also pull valve cover and check cam/crank align, you might be off a notch on the belt.

I agree, check the TPS, [Throttle Position Sensor] and the PGM-FI Main Relay, the only two things you did not check.
I would also meter the spark plug leads to see if they are within spec. parts can be DOA.
And as always, anytime the problem may be electrical, check/redo the main grounds, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine. 94
