Finally getting around to creating an account on the site. I've done some research on here before, just never joined.
Primarily, I play with the older stuff. The older the better as far as I am concerned. I prefer carbureted Hondas in most cases. I specialize in Weber carburetor conversions and mostly use the 32/36 DGEV setup because of its adaptability and he fact that it will run just about anything you put it on.
My very first Honda experience was with small engines like generators, then it escalated to dirtbikes, motorcycles, and eventually cars. Most of my automotive stuff began with Ford and Chevy V8s, big and small blocks. 60s and 70s F series trucks, two of which I still own. V8 swapped Vega we used to drag race, and all types of other things. I finally bought a 95 Civic EX coupe after some research. I purchased the car because it was obtained relatively cheaply, has lots of potential for modification, and would yield some good MPG numbers. Shortly after purchase, I upgraded like crazy and thats how it started.
I just sold a 94 Civic CX that I was using for the sole purpose of cheaply commuting. 55mpg was quite nice.
I love the 88 to 91 Civics, I am currently in the process of putting my third one back together. I sold the first one and my brother has the 2nd one. My true passion is the carb'd civics though. I also recently sold my 1981 Civic 1500DX sedan with 48k miles and a Weber carb conversion.
