Just bought my first car but has a major problem!! HELP!!
Hey guys! I just bought my first car, it is an EG hatch but i did an EK front-end conversion. Anyways i have a single cam D16 that i bought rebuilt from some guy. When i bought it the motor didnt run i messed with the order of the spark-plug wires and got it running. The problem is that it violently shakes. Im not driving it i have it jacked up but it just shakes alot whenever i start it up! Any suggestion would be great! Thanks Everyone in advance!!

holy big lettering....
it sounds to me like it's miss firing(causing the shaking) post a pic of how the wires are coming from the distributer....i'll bet you have one or 2 mixed up.
here look at this

Check into your plug wire routing, also check your plugs for any abnormalities. Also make sure your spark plug wires are good. (You can test them with a multimeter or by running the engine in the dark while looking for blue or orange sparks. If you see sparks that's likey your cause. If not do a compression test and post the results
check the firing order as mentioned before, but a violent shaking can be a rotating assembly issue(i.e. bent rod, crankshaft damaged, improper rod and main bearing sizes)
also check timing(crank to cam)
also check timing(crank to cam)
