Hello all, my name is Matt and I'm a long time Honda owner since '97. I've lurked your site for a while and finally decided to join. Here's a little about me, I like getting my hands dirty and doing any and all work myself on my own and families vehicles.
Here's a short list of current and previous cars (yes they're all Hondas)
First was my '88 Accord Lx-i back in '97 that got me started on import cars and Honda mainly.
2000 Civic Si my first new car purchase that I still regret to this day for trading-in back in '06. Spent a lot of money and time trough the years of ownership with mods, street racing, and speeding tickets.
2006 Element Lx-P bought new in '06, yeah I wen't from the Si to this, that's all that can be said about this purchase but in it's defense it was great to drive in the winter months and massive cargo area.
2008 Accord Lx-P bought new in '08, not much to say either but it felt to much like a grandma car to me so it had to go in 2010.
2008 Si Sedan bought used in 2010, My current DD and tuner car that I can tweak on and I doubt I'll ever get rid of this one.

i always had older hondas and decided one day to buy a 06 LX 2 dr 5spd R18. Wife loved it and we made a SI replica out of it. Sold it and bout a 08 2dr SI and was such a crappy transmission we sold the car due to it having the worst transmission ever. 32k miles on it and it jumped outta 3rd and grinded alot.

That sucks about your '08 Si. I bought mine used with 50k on it and about a year later I started having 3rd gear issues. After some research I tried using a better trans fluid, now running Royal Purple Syncromax and so for it's done the trick, almost to 80k now and zero problems so far.
