Default Self made manifold or name brand for b18b1

I have a simple question, would a self made ss log mani be better then a name brand log mani? I'm a welder and have capabilities of plasma cutting flanges on a plasma table(I manage a welding company.) I have every part to my turbo kit accept a manifold, and I've spent almost all my money I've saved for a year and now trying to decide if I need spend the cash or cheaper it out and make own manifold and save cash towards tune.
Car is a 93 dx hatchback with
B18b1 from 95 integra ls (just rebuilt to oem specs)
1995 gsr trans(gears short as hell)
Comp clutch stage 5
Arp head studs and misc bolts through out rebuild^)
Now has 2056 miles since rebuild.
Full 3inch as exhaust back to gutted random can (sounds mellow and deep)

Turbo setup/parts
Chipped p28 obd1 ecu
Oil feed/return
Tapped oil pan
Catchcan
Garret t3t4 63.60 with turbonetics hotside.
Full 2.5 intercooler piping
Fmic (unknown brand) (was on suburu wrx making 500 awhp)
Turbonetics 38mm wastegate(8 psi spring)
Hks bov
Rcc 550 injectors
And all misc stuff (gauges, pod, wideband, boost controller.)

Just need manifold !?!

I think that if you have the skills, patience, knowledge base and resources like you're stating, I see no reason why you can't just make your own. The current designs are pretty standard and you can go to several sources and order your quality materials.

Is it better? That's on your talent and ability to weld. Only you can answer that one, sir.

Ok, we'll I trust my welds, been doing it for 12 years. Ok I have another question, does wastegate flange placement play a roll in helping to control boost?

yes the placement has a major roll. you typically want it placed in the center between all the runners

Yup. On my log manifold it is above the turbo exhaust inlet and a littler closer to the runners. You can always so google a name brand manifold and 'copy' it for your application.

True, well I've got my material I guess I'm going to polish and smooth insides before I weld together for better flow then use my spare b18 engine to test fit it for block clearances then weld and start the install
