So I have been saving up and I'm just about ready to swap a b18c1 into my 94 ls. Now the reason I went the usdm route is because I live in california.... And I heard mixed reviews about jdm engine and tranny. I want to go the legit way because I don't want to get reffed and then need to bar my car. So here's my question. Can I buy a jdm tranny and not get in trouble if I get pulled over and my hood popped I don't race, I just always get pulled over since I'm a teen. If they see the usdm gsr but a jdm tranny. Can I still get in trouble if they notice it's not a usdm tranny? I need one by Tommorow I found a usdm for 500 but I would prefer a jdm one with lsd, can someone clarify this issue I'm afraid of., I don't want my car taken away

 

just put a stock exuahst an drive normally and dont speed. you should be fine.

ive had my f20b swap in my integra since march and so far ive been fine. i run a stock type r piping and exuahst so the car sounds normal and i drive only about 60-65 mph on the freeway and try my best to not attract attention. ive had my run in the with the law way too many times with previous hondas and swaps it gets annoying. i even quit the game for 2 years.

i enjoy my integra and take extra precaution to allow me to drive it.
