Default Steering wheel shakes when braking. Looking to upgrade possibly, Ideas?

My Cx that I just picked up earlier this week shakes pretty bad when I start to brake. The harder I hit the brakes the more the steering wheel shakes. I am debating on upgrading the whole system or just replace everything with OEM (probably Si).

I don't want to dump to much $$ into this since I am not any kind of racer. I'll take it to the track every now and then, but I won't be auto-xing.

Should I just get an Si set-up or just get new rotors / brakes / lines?

Thanks for any input!

I experienced the same problem with my 95 EX. At first I thought it was the rotors but come to find out, the bearings were going bad. I say replace the bearings and upgrade to rear disks since the car is a 93(???). You will have new brakes and new bearings as well.

Sorry if this is a dumb Q, but will the bearings be replaced when I get my GSR motor & axles? If not, where exactly are they located? It's a 93 Cx and I may look for an Si since I believe they have rear disc brakes

The bearings are located in the hub of the assembly so you still have to replace them. If you are getting the SI brakes, I think you will need to get the prop valve, master cylinder and brake booster.

My brother(Migs) and I did an ITR 5 lug swap off of my 92 SI to my 93 SI. The brakes are definetly better but the pedal goes to the floor. I need the RS brake booster and master cylinder as well. I'll have the stuff you need for sale(rear discs, master cylinder, and brake booster) in a few weeks if you can wait.
