Default Wipers not working correctly

I've noticed recently that my windshield wipers don't go down the whole way on their own anymore. I have to play with the switch and turn them off at exactly the right time in order for them to be down the whole way.

Has anyone else had this problem? How have you fixed it?

Have you tried removing and repositioning?

if it's not the switch might be causing problems I had the same thing with the indicator stalk

my wipers are very probably working correctly but I want to increase their travel so that the left blade (driver side) would go all/almost all the way to the A pillar. right now it only reaches ~ 12cm away from the pillar. besides removing the wiper arm and rotating it clockwise, is there any adjustemt in the linkage that I could do to increase the travel?

I don't think so.
