Default Engine oil leak: VTEC solenoid?

Hi, I have a 2005 Si with 78k on it. Has an oil leak that starts pretty high up so I put on a new valve cover gasket first. It still leaks, looks like the VTEC solenoid or gasket. My question is does the solenoid itself leak or it usually just the gasket/o-ring where it mounts to the head?

Can the valve cover leak even when replaced, are there any tricks to getting a good seal other than a dab of RTV in the corners?

The seals for the solenoid leak yes.
