Default Gsr clutch/mounts

Okay guys so I'm soon to be swapping out my single cammer hammer for an 01 gsr. I was wondering peoples opinions on clutch and mounts for this swap. Bolt on's with plans of boost in the near future. Hasport mounts or innovative mounts? exedy oem clutch or exedy stage 1 vs competition 1.5. Thanks in advance guys!

Hasport 70A mounts will be fine for your plans as for clutch... a Competition clutch(brand name) stage 2 or 3 should hold up well sub 300hp give or take.

Exedy stage one isnt bad either, thats what I run on my boosted b20v and its held up fine. I dont do alot of launching though lol.

I was leaning towards the exedy stage one. The only thing I considered was the comp 1.5 because its a little bit cheaper. Any thoughts on this?

They're pretty much the same thing so either would work for what you need. Do you plan on racing the car occasionally or just a regular daily?

300whp/unknown TQ, keep in mind too much TQ for what the clutch is rated at is what will cause it to start slipping/wear out fast. I wouldn't run anything under a stage 2 on my 200whp all motor...

this is what I have on my gsr(CC stage 3) coupled with a 12lb CC flywheel

edit: lol that's a no name pos clutch do it right the first time....the one I have pictured runs about 380.00$ before tax

That clutch he posted is a competition clutch brand clutch lol.

Your right though if he plans on boosting any time soon he might as well get something like you, but if hes going to be dayling it for a few years before he might as well get something with a less aggressive engagement for city driving.

I plan on daily driving it until I go with boost. For probably a month or two until I can gather all the parts to piece together a turbo build. Hoping to put down around 300 hp daily driven with boost. Should I go with stage 2 or 3 now without boost? I live in Pennsylvania. Not a lot of city driving.

why buy something that will be replaced in a few months ? just buy a stage 3or something. Then when you're piecing the turbo set up together put the new clutch in

This ^. Youll be breaking in the motor anyway so you might as well just do it all at once.

What c/r are you aiming for with the pistons?

Well which ever you decide on getting make sure its sprung and depending on how stiff you want the pedal you may or may not want to make sure it has a heavy duty pressure plate.

Opinions on comp ratio's? What about driveability without a turbo but low compression pistons?

Im a clutch masters person my self, but as long as your not getting some ebay brand crap youll be ok with quality.

Ive never been a fan of lower ratios for boosted cars. Id rather stay around the 9-10 range and run less boost to make the number you want. With a lower ratio your going to have to run more psi to make up for the loss and thats not an ideal thing for stock sleeves.

Do push 300 on stock internals.... not sure what the sleeves will stand up to my guess is 500 is the max for stock sleeves and even then i'd be worried.

Pistons should be stamped p73 if theyre oem itr. If theyre aftermarket they should have some stamp on it you can check.

They in fact have p73 stamped on the top of them. Good or bad for boost?

You should be ok, just dont try running 20 psi on a .60+ a/r turbo. Theres a whole forced induction thread on here though that can help you plan out your build for the power you want to make. Might want to post a thread there, some knowledgeable people in there that can answer any question you might have.
