HELP!!! 95 accord, pop sound then free rev
was letting out of the clutch the other day at a stop light to take off an heard a pop sound an the motor free rev'd
. it wont do anything in any gear.
i now have the trans out and the clutch looks great and the trans seems to shift and spin fine in every gear!?
its a 95 ex with f22 motor and trans, has this happened to anyone else? im not sure what to do so any info is greatly appriciated!!!!

If the trans does not grind it is most likely fine.
When the transmission was out did you check that when the input shaft was turned(and the trans in gear) that the differential spun?
You will need to verify if the problem is;
Transfer of power from engine to transmission(clutch)
Transfer of power through transmission(gears)
Transfer of power to axles(differential)
Transfer of power to wheels(axles)
I've had a couple of Exedy clutch discs come apart. One was beat on behind a warmed over H22, the other was just old and a small part jammed into the marcel spring not allowing correct travel.
Axles may appear to be fully inserted but if they pop out even just 1/4" they can get kicked back and no longer engage the differential output gear, which will give a free rev condition. Check that the circlips at the axle ends are still a larger diameter and have good tension to prevent the axle from popping out.

How did you check the axles?
Some cheaper aftermarket axles may have the outer CV cage break, this will allow the axle to spin inside the joint, it may not be that easy to spin by hand but under the weight and power of the engine it could.
Before tearing everything apart did you jack the front end up and check both axles for movement when the trans was in gear?
Can you take a picture of the axles?
