Default 2001 Accord odometer reading...

Quick question. Looked though threads and didn't find nothing on this. Half my guages stopped working in the dash of my 2001 Honda Accord LX ULEV. My question is.... if I get a replacement out of a junkyard... will it read my proper milage, or will it be reading the milage from the junkyard vehicle? Is the milage stored in the cluster itself? Or is it stored in the ECU? Thanx for the help guys!!

If I had the money... maybe. But what fun is that. But thanx for the idea. Did a little more research today. Milage is stored in cluster AND ecm. When replacement cluster is put in... car will read milage from donor car. PROPER milage "can" be flashed up from ecm, to ur guages if you want it to read proper milage, for a NICE PRICE of course. For the most part.... the milage fom the donor car (junkyard car) will be what is displayed. Ecm stores ORIGINAL milage only in case it is ever needed for some reason.
