d series camshaft help
like VTEC "killers?" Why not just run a non-VTEC head with a big cam?
there is not a huge difference between the VTEC and non-VTEC D-series heads. unless you already have a lot of money in port work or something on a VTEC head, just switch.

well i want to use a z6 and idk what else would compare as to flow. maybe zc but its old and condition unknown unless i ger it rebuilt. i would like to avoid a $rebuild$ and use the z6 which has more aftermarket support but not really for what im asking for.but still z6 are easier to find.
Not sure why you would want VTEC locked in unless its just for sound.
If you are building a race car, hondamark suggested non-vtec which I would second.
If it's a street car, keep the VTEC

Your already halfway there.. I would hate to do the head and whatever cam and get it all together and find out the bottom end needs something or is low in compression, etc.. It will cost you more in the long run if you decide to shortcut it. New HG, oil, etc adds up when your trying to get everything back together.
Plus the piece of mind that its done right. Nothing like having that feeling of the old tired engine under there that your trying to get performance out of in the back of your head.

the guys who swapped for k's will probly have the same words to say to those who swapped for b's
As stated, you can have the Y7 cam reground.
Rocket Motorsports, Colt, and Delta are good options.
Another option is Exospeed but I'm not sure if they're currently doing regrinds.

hope you didn't put any real amount of money into that....someone with a stock b20 would still walk you.
