Default clear somZCing up for me

wiki says
zc sohc vtec 130hp
88-91 dohc non vtec 130hp
z6 and y8 have less
to my knowledge a common thing to do to a zc is a z6 or y8 head swap, to a dohc or sohc i have not yet confirmed becuz both are doable. this i want to confirm. im sure we all can agree that both sohc and dohc zc versions dont have an im/em design as good as the for example y8. yet they make more hp. can you guys clear up where the zc hp comes from. im begining to believe it has something to do with the bottom end but i dont think so. also i can not find info comparing flow of the zc sohc head to z6 & y8. more interested in the zc z6 comparison.

my goal in the race port a single cam, use P29's y8 IM/EM and a stage 1 or 2 vtec locking cam for dd no turbo

Keep it simple

ZC = 1.6 and that is all

Depending on the year, it's just equivalent to its US counterpart.

DOHC ZC is its own beast. Closest engine we have to it in the US is the first Integra And the heads don't interchange without some work.

Stick with a Z6 or y8. I like the Z6 more. All three of those motors are about the same really. Buy whichever you can get a deal on. Or even a JDM D15B is about the same HP wise.

Thanks. But I know nothing about the internals for a NA D-series. I'm going boosted B-series so I have never even looked at it.
