Icon2 cruise not working

I am looking for help regarding my cruise not working on a 1992 accord EX. initial self check when starting does not illuminate cruise as before. Push button for cruise lights up...but again dash light does not come on and of course cruise does not engage.

I have checked connections to actuator and replaced actuator electric module. All fuses check out. When I remove vacuum pressure is released. I am stumped...any ideas?

Auto or manual? Any stored codes in the ECU/TCU?

Did it work at anytime before? Any recent work done?

If the cruise was working before and someone replaced the "brake light" stopper....there is the answer to your question. My guess, they didn't do it the proper way - BUY the dang plug from the dealer and call it a day. I'll bet they did the cheap way and "stuck something" in there.

Which means the brake light switch it now out of adjustment no allowing the cruise to work. Either get a proper repair or adjust the brake light switch so that it is FULLY closed (yes the brake lights can be off but the switch is not closed enough for the cruise to work).

Sorry.....my response was worded that way, again my bad and sorry for the way it sounded.

The "plug" (OE PN 46505-SA5-000 - verify) from the dealer is ~$2.25. If the "fix" you put in is a good one, you can adjust the brake light switch so that it fully closes, you'll need a voltmeter to confirm continuity on the proper two pins of the switch.

I'm having the same problem. Push the cruise button and the light turns on (on the cruise button), but the light on the dash does not. It's not a fuse, so I'm not sure what to check next. It's a 96 accord.
