SRS light on all the time?
I just got my 2002 Honda Civic Coupe LX. The red SRS light is on all the time.
There are no codes on the computer (except cam sensor code). The previous owner had timing chain replaced and after the cam sensor replaced (mechanic didn't clear out code). I don't think that would impact the SRS light at all.
The previous owner did change the front brakes himself. The brakes feel odd to say the least, as if they didn't bleed them after changing them. Knowing other cars the airbag sensors are usually tied to brakes. Could the brakes be causing that light to come on or is there another hidden problem somewhere I don't know about?
I also have steering tightness that makes it feel completely different than my 2010 Civic. It actually reminds me of my 1992 Accord just before I broke the tie-rod end. I don't know if that would trip the SRS light?

you need to pull up the code for the SRS light. their is a procedure to do that. code is different from the CEL codes.
the tightness in the wheel might be your low on power steering fluid or the pump is going out. good luck

I forgot to mention that, due to a recall, the dealership did work to the airbag. They took the airbag out and then put it back in. Didn't change or fix anything. It may be a good idea for me to take it to the dealership and see what they say instead of trying to reset/fix it myself. I really don't want the airbag to blow up in my face lol...
Edit: Found if the light on it wont blow in my face. Found a list of codes: http://www.7thgenhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11475
Codes are for ABS so I guess I get to see if that trick works.
