I did a bit of site searching but not a whole lot to see it anyone has used these before, I know its you get what you pay for in most cases and these looking to run me around 600 a set seems rather low, I'm a college student with debt out the *** but you know the saying, education is important but car parts are importanter.

600 dollars? I assume you are looking at the Ultimos. The basic ones are only like 369 + shipping which makes them like 420 dollars.
If you are looking to slam your car, they'll be bouncy. If you are looking to slam a car on KW V2's they will be bouncy too. I've personally owned a set of the cheaper Racelands and had them on a MK1 Rabbit and I didn't hate them. I bought them to go low and that is what they did. I can't speak for their quality on an EP3 though.

I guess the question here is, what are you planning to do with your car? Autocross it or go more for the stance style? For stance, MOST coils will ride like **** so I say screw it might as well save your money and get something cheap. For autocross, I have no advice.

I currently have Racelands on my EP3 and I have yet to be disappointed by them. Like you, I am a college student and wasn't looking to break the bank on coilovers. I got them shipped to my house for $455 (or around there) and were an easy install.
I am not slammed on them, if you slam them they will ride like **** (obviously) even though they have the capability to slam your car. It not a stiff ride, my car rides like it is on rails going around corners. They're perfect for me to ride around at a safe height because I live in PA and the roads are ****.
But like Jakester said, it all depends what you want to do with your car. I love mine tho, they haven't failed me at all and are a great price
