Jerking on acceleration
I have an 00 CR-V with 195k miles on the clock, it runs well but does burn some oil which has been linked to the valve seals which will be replaced in 2 weeks. But as of 2 days ago I noticed that under acceleration the car seems to jerk or sputter on acceleration until about 2500 rpms's. It will idle just fine and very smooth with no bouncing on the tach, but sometimes I can get it to bounce if I bring the accelerator up to about 1500 RPM and hold it then it will bounce between 1000-1500 (1 out of 15 tries or so). Because it is a 5 speed I also put it in 5h gear at around 20mph and put the accelerator all the way down and could recreate this sputtering and jerking every single time. Spark plugs are fairly new but am looking for other ideas. Any suggestions? NO CEL's to report and I did verify the CEL light works just to be sure.
Check for oil inside your distributor cap and also in the spark plug tubes. Something like this with no cel is going to take some narrowing down and eliminating variables. That's where I would start
