Default Odometer **** the bed?

Today while driving my girlfriends 99 ex I looked at the odometer and it was stuck between between the last two numbers. We went for a short drive and it wasn't budging at all. I went and gave it a few slaps and the first number went to 2...so now 2xx,xxx...Then I was like **** it and gave it a couple more all the way to 4xx,xxx... Just replace the cluster? lol

I had the same issue, but its difficult to find a used spedometer by itself. I havent found one yet anyway.

I've seen a few NOS (new old stock) speedometers sell on ebay. Maybe check there. Personally I'd just find a new cluster with roughly the same mileage (if possible) and be done with it.
Or better yet, shell out the $175+ for an SI cluster and upgrade.
