Default Vehicle Speed Sensor

1. I have Honda Accord 1988 Vehicle Speed Sensor.
2. Install in Honda Accord 1995 Automatic transmission.
3. in Honda Accord 1997 SE

I have Honda Accord 1988 Vehicle speed Sensor and there are 2 hookup lines on VSS. If I use this speed Sensor on the 1995 Accords Auto transmission should I close this 2 hookup lines ore leave them open? What those 2 hookup lines do in Honda Accord 1997 SE?

Must be a typo.....as an owner and big fan of the 3rd gens (86-89) I can tell you the setup for the VSS on them is WAY different than the 5th or 6th gens.

I ordered a used Automatic transmission to replace transmission on my car and it come in without VSS. The failed transmission have 88 VSS witch makes me think that previously tranmission on this car was replaced with 88 year build transmission. The only option I have is to use 88 VSS or order one for $50 the correct one. I would like to go with 88 VSS to save some money but makes me wonder how did this VSS worked previously and these to hookup line were open. Does it leaks Fluid if I leave them open or should I close them?

i doubt the 88 vss is correct and make sure if you buy another its for your automatic transmission the manual and auto vss are different
