Default Unatural CRV

A work in progress CRV that is more than it appears. Also has been on Hondasuv.com and CRVoc.com. There are a ton of actual mods, including Full Bi-xenon retrofit and full motor build with Brian Crower stage 2 cams. No VTEC may add it later though.

20% front, 5% rear. No coilovers, H&R SPrings and cheapo Q-power shocks.

I was working on the mod list a minute ago and I lost my connectivity. I will Edit the first post an put them in.

Like the tailgate, but hate the body kit, just does not look good.

But as long as you like it, that's all that matters, not what I think.

Cryo treated block and head plus all internals (was done by a friend of a friend at his job), Brian Crower titanium valves and retainers, Supertech locks, Brian Crower stage 2 turbo cams, Generic cam gears, Billet cam seal cap, full port and polish, 3 angle valve job, Thermal intake manifold gasket, Intake manifold stud kit, intake manifold and turbo manifold ported to match the head, block guard, CP pistons and rings, Manley rods, Stock crank brand new from Honda, Moroso oil pan, oil pan stud kit, New oil pump and pick up, new water pump kit with timing belt, VMS Racing lightweight crank pulley, All ARP fasterners, MSD 6AL, MSD Blaster 2 coil, MSD wireset, Proflow fuel rail, RC Engineering 550cc peak and hold injectors, NSX Fuel pump (was free, will be replaced soon), B&M fuel pressure modifier on ITR regulator, HKS SSQV bov, TurboSmart 38mm wastegate (currently at 8psi will go up soon, trying to find the right spring), manual boost controller, T3/T4 turbo, 3 inch turbo-back exhaust, 4 bar MAP sensor.
Coming soon - big brake kit (4 piston), 320lph fuel pump, GT35R turbo upgrade, water/meth injection, OBX power pulleys, misc odds and ends, Going back on air with Ksport strut bags, Transmission work ( still trying to decide on staying automatic and getting a fully built level 10 unit or doing the 5spd swap with either an ITR or GSR transmission and getting a level 10 kit to go in it, its 2wd drive anyway so loosing AWD is not a factor but either way I'll most likely have the whole thing cryo treated unless I get the level 10 auto).

The body kit was to replace some busted bumpers and looked better to me than the VIS kit and the mugen kit since the mugen kit is just a glorified lip kit. I'm trying to figure a way to actually use the fog light cut out as brake ducts or something functional.

The tailgate wasn't bad to shave, the body lines and the rear bumper was a pain mainly the bumper with all the curves, its still not perfect but I had to rush it, Ill finish it out before paint.

I'm curious about the engine management. Not sure why you put so much into the engine when a stock b20 with a turbo can hold enough power to trash the auto tranny. Not exactly knocking it, glad to see someone put in some effort, but it's insanely overkill

I'm using an E-manage ultimate piggy back for EMS, I'd like to eventually go a different route to get to my ultimate goal. But with the tranny being stock and an auto I haven't got it tuned yet, Last thing I want to do is grenade a transmission on a somebody's nice expensive dyno.

Phil my original goal when I started my build several years ago was to lay down close to 800whp while I know I won't be close I know now that my motor will stand up to whatever I put it through. Plus when I had rebuilt it the motor it had sat up for 3 years without being turned over and had close to 180K on it so I figured go ahead rebuild it and I got a helluva deal on the internals.

Without sleeves you probably won't see half that. B20 sleeves are paper thin, a really good tuner can get some decent numbers from them but you are still limited.

I have to agree on the cosmetics, but it's your car and your money. I'm just trying to help on the power end cause that's what I do. Lol

Paint or a good 2 tone would make a world of difference in the cosmetics but the body kit was just the lesser a 3 evils, The Mugen kit is just a lip kit that screws to the OEM bumper covers and IMO looks terrible at the seams because they stand out, If they would attach better and have the seams along a style line I'm sure it would be different. The VIS kit just doesn't look functional and too cluttered at least for the front bumper plus it looks as it would block too much air from flowing across an intercooler and radiator. The Silver CRV with the fender mirror is the Mugen kit and the White CRV is the VIS or Sarona kit. I do however want either the Mugen style grille or the old fog light grille that came in a chrome finish and I would just repaint it to match the 2 tone when I get the car painted.

Here are some older pictures. from When I was on air and when I was on some chopped springs for mock up (I had a spare set of springs that I chopped for figuring where I wanted my ride height at and to use when I showed as a hood prop. Ended up trading them to a guy for the air ride, he was doing a project and wanted to use them. I don't know what he was using them for. Those bumpers ended up getting wrecked at different times, got rear ended once at a light and had somebody at walmart that thought they were in reverse but found out that they weren't. The tires were 215/70 R15 so they were a +1.

I paint for a living, I can see what it can be. I just don't like drastic body changes. Like I said, I'm not knocking it or judging you. It's your car and your money.

I used to do painting, with my back and knees the way they are now I can't do it anymore. Its a shame I love being in the booth spraying a car and turning it into a work of art. I know you weren't knocking it I just figured I'd post the pics of the other 2 kits to show what I was referring too when I described them.
