FS: 40k miles - complete D16Y7/Y4 long block
I have a complete D16Y7/Y4 long block for sale. Please continue reading as there is a lot of information contained in the thread... The engine is a JDM OBD2 "ZC" (D16Y4) motor, the D16Y4 is essentially a D16Y8 *except* for the cylinder head (or, in other words, a D16Y7 but with the D16Y8 exhaust manifold and intake manifold). It's a direct swap for the US-spec D16Y7 (just re-use your distributor, crank sensor, wiring harness and intake/exhaust manifold). If you have any questions, just message me.
Compression was at 180 across the board when we tested it at the engine importer I purchased it from in Virginia. For those unfamiliar with Japanese motor vehicle laws, they are the reason that a constant supply of low-mileage engines are available to us.

The engine was purchased about 4 months ago and was going to sit around as a spare while I continued running my 2000 Civic hatchback at HPDE/lapping days. Priorities changed since purchasing a 2012 Nissan 370Z so I have no reason to keep this engine as a spare since I won't be running the Civic anymore.
I used the intake manifold and exhaust manifold on the D16Y7 that's currently in my Civic, but I do have a D16Y8 complete intake manifold if you want it. Engine does not have the crank sensor mounted underneath the crank pulley, so that will have to be retained from your current engine/wiring harness.
Price includes the engine stand that is pictured. $550 cash (FIRM) picked up in Owings Mills, MD 21117 (near Baltimore). *** No trades ***. If you want an engine hoist, DC Sports 4-1 D16 header, D16Y8 intake manifold, etc those can all be negotiated into the price.
